Sojourn

Sojourn = A temporary stay; a brief period of residence or to dwell or live in a place as a temporary resident or as a stranger, not considering the place as a permanent habitation.

So when I was trying to come up with a great title for our new blog,  Sojourn could not have fit more perfectly. It really reflects the last 10 years of  our journey together as a couple. We have had so many wonderful and challenging adventures and  many adventures ahead to fulfill, but why use a name such as Sojourn that means brief or temporary?  Some might think it's because we have lived like gypsies moving around (CT/RI/MA area from 1999-2001, AL 2001-2006, Saba/Netherlands-Antilles 2006-2008, and Kansas City 2008-Present, and with a possible move to who knows where in 2011) or that Leigh has had three career changes (RN-CRNA-MD) or Ray has matured in his career goals (Financial adviser-Stockbroker-Accountant), but the Real Reason is because it represents the very core of who Ray and I are:  We are Christians, and with that lies our belief  that this thing called "Life" is just a temporary dwelling place for all of us to fulfill our part in God's ultimate plan!

Our previous blog was started in 2008. It chronicled the last few years of our first decade as a couple, So why not start new and fresh with a new blog  that will chronicle our second decade as a couple!!!
