August 9, 2010, the start of a new beginning. Tian Ai: "Aiden" Stevens. He left his only home, Langfang orphanage, to transition into a foster care home in Beijing until we come to China to bring him to his forever home!!! We were so excited to see these pictures as we have been waiting for this moment for soooooo long. It seems surreal. THREE YEARS in the making and we are on the down hill slope!!! We never gave up hope. We knew Tian was ours.
Looking at these photos it did make us sad too. Sad for the children left behind which are his friends. I can not even imagine the pain the children feel who are left behind. The reality that some may never have an adoptive family burdens my heart.
We have also been introduced to the foster family so we will be able to stay in contact during this time. We know this will really be for Aiden best interest in learning english and getting prepared for a family. Its amazing how God has brought together everything for Aiden. Aiden will be starting school next week August 16, 2010 at the Beijing International School. This school will also help him learn english.
