Well, Sitting in my momma's kitchen smellin that good ole southern food cooking up :) .........So what's been going on????????? ALOT.
Ray turned 31 on the 7th....He celebrated with my family! I was in Saba :( ....... Ray has had multiple job interviews on the phone and in person these past few weeks in the KC area. Yesterday afternoon he has decided to accept an offer in KC with an awesome company!!! He is so excited! The job is perfect! It combines his past experiences as a stock broker, financial administrator, and auditor into one! The pay and benefits are awesome too! God is good! He always paves the path ahead! The only NEGATIVE to this job is that Ray is going to start work on the 29th of April, meaning that my last few months on Saba, you guessed it, I will have to venture it alone!!! Don't worry, we are already booking weekend get-a-ways, so it will all work out!!!
I have successfully completed Semester 4 in medical school; only 10 weeks left of class starting in May followed by 6 wks of kaplan USLME step 1 board review, Step exam "hopefully"at the end of August and then off to my 3rd year core clinical rotations in September!
This coming up week, I will be passing gas for a locum group and then heading back to my mom's house on Friday to spend time with family and friends until Wednesday. Wednesday afternoon, I will fly up to KC and stay with Ray to help him get settled in (and celebrate his birthday) until time for me to leave to go back to Saba on Sunday!!!!
OCH UPDATE: We are working on getting OCH website updated. Of course, we having problems with our program that we use to update the site. We hope to have it resolved by the end of the week! On the brighter side, We have officially award our first grant!!! Also, OCH is also being featured on Laura Christianson blog site. (link under favorites). Very cool!
These last few weeks have been a whirlwind and unfortunately the next 3 months are going to continue the chaos, but we will finally be settled down to normalcy by the end of summer in our new place in KC!!!
